Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a professionally qualified and experienced strategic-minded Finance Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide financial insights, analysis, and support to departments, helping them achieve their strategic objectives while ensuring financial goals are met.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Assist in developing financial plans and forecasts aligned with business unit strategies.
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and key metrics to identify areas of improvement or concern.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis to business partners and senior management.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on financial insights to drive business performance.
  • Work closely with business units to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to business partners in managing their budgets effectively.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, providing financial guidance and support for decision-making.
  • Evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and strategic initiatives from a financial perspective.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and scenario modeling to assess the financial impact of various decisions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the financial performance of business units.
  • Monitor and track KPIs, providing regular updates and insights to business partners.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop action plans to address performance gaps and drive improvement.
  • Partner with other functional areas such as sales, marketing, operations, and HR to understand their financial needs and challenges.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between finance and other departments to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
  • Serve as a liaison between finance and business units, advocating for financial best practices and policies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in finance and business analysis.
  • Implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement in financial planning, analysis, and decision support.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
